Kontist is a Berlin-based neobank that offers digital business banking tailored especially to self-employed professionals, freelancers, and small business owners in Germany. Founded in 2016, it combines modern business bank accounts with smart financial tools to help users manage their finances, taxes, and bookkeeping all in one place.

Over the course of a year, I worked with Kontist to completely rebuild their website. A substantial part of this involved realigning the brand’s tone of voice and sharpening the positioning of its USPs in relation to key competitors.

Kontist also extensively restructured its pricing and feature sets across different subscription plans, which required several email campaigns aimed at retaining existing users throughout the transition.

Additionally, Kontist initiated several cross-brand referral and recommendation campaigns to promote its product among freelancers and small business owners in Germany, with particular attention paid to expat and non-German-speaking demographics.
